Only we can stop others from controlling us. Society teaches us to be "nice" to everyone, and keep giving everyone "the benefit of the doubt", because "deep down, everyone is good". Torah supports no such thing. It tells us to set strong boundaries and to avoid fools and the wicked, which benefits us and others by not enabling hard-hearted people. Yes, they do exist. Torah makes that very clear. We aren't "judging", we are just reserving ourselves for HaShem's purposes, not the whims of others. We can't change anyone, we can only set healthy boundaries and prevent ourselves from being enablers. Some may learn from that, some may not-its up to them to make their choices as well. It is. Subscribe to the Omer Reminder and Meditation email. Set a repeating alarm on your phone or other clock for just after dark to remind you to count. Reply

I’ve been using the app since it was created. Excellent!!
This new version is even better, BH, with many improvements.
When I downloaded it from the App Store it would not open.
Thankfully I decided to go to chabad.org.
Problem solved immediately!

Not sure what you mean. Download it from the correct app store for your phone or tablet. After is it installed, touch the app to open it. You should also set reminders by touching the 3 lines at the top of the first page, scrolling down to notifications, and touching the box to highlight it. It sets the time by your geographic location. If you find the font too small you can also subscribe to the Omer counter email on Chabad.org. and it will come to your email box daily. Reply

I love the app but the Pale font for the meditations makes them impossible for me to read. Please offer a choice of font so that a boulder, darker font is available for people with any sort of vision difficulty. Also, consider making the size of the type variable in settings. This is a wonderful resource and a little tweaking would make it even better. Reply
